Herbs and Herbal Remedies |
What is so special about herbs? Are your herbs natural and chemical free? There are hundreds of herbs. Why don't you sell all of them? How do I know what herb to take?
You may or may not know it, but they have originated from plants and herbs. Knowledge of plants has been handed down through the ages and in more recent times, scientists have begun to study them too. They found that they can extract some of the natural chemicals from the herbs and also to artificially synthesize chemicals which have "similar" properties (in theory). Whilst this is laudable in many cases, much of this "progress" has been brought about in the search for profit. Many drug companies sought to control stocks of certain herbs so that they could control the market following their amazing discovery and patent. Anyway, philosophical ramblings aside, herbs contain the planets health remedies and their popularity has grown immensely during the last 20 or 30 years. For this reason we encourage a common sense holistic approach, and this includes, a healthy diet, gentle regular exercise and natural health products to supplement your lifestyle when necessary. We believe that any herbal remedy should contain the full spectrum of natural chemicals found in the herb, and not have them extracted out using unnatural methods such as heat or "standardization". All herbs we supply are either organic or wild harvested. These are harvested from replenishable sources and confirmed to have no detrimental effect upon the environment and are free from pesticides or other man-made chemicals. We strongly suggest that you do your own reading regarding the potential benefits of herbs and of following a healthy lifestyle. We also think that it is important to follow an organic lifestyle as much as possible. |
